just bought this hoover vacuum - it had 430 positive reviews on amazon, was a consumer reports pick, and costs less than $65.
my verdict: it works *phenomenally* well - better than any vacuum i have ever used -- if u need a great vacuum this one is it.

so far so good with mine - used it like 5 times -- fingers crossed i don't run over a mound of pennies...
we got one for our house and one for my mom. now let me tell you, my mom is a hard women to please when it comes to vacuums. and believe it or not, she loves this one. we had searched high and low to find her the perfect vacuum without success. we've spent many a saturday afternoon returning vacuums that we're "too heavy", "too complicated" or just plain "didn't pick up dirt". we were just about to go get her a $500.00+ dyson!!! they don't even get good reviews but i was desperate. thanks to your recommendation, we've finally found her a vacuum she's happy with at a great price.
wow - if auntie likes it - it *has* to be good -- i remember u looking at vacuums over the summer! i'm really keeping my fingers crossed it doesn't disappoint!
